The door stripping process has many different methods, depending on what materials we are working with. The most common method is using caustic paint stripping techniques, which is thought to be the best method to remove paint from furniture and doors. To do this, we remove the door from the frame, and dip it into a large container filled with the chemicals, but not before we’ve removed any glass or attachments. The chemical mix dissolves the paint but doesn’t react with the actual wood, leaving the doors with a clean surface ready to move on to sanding and waxing, if you want the perfect finish.
